Career Goals
My career goal is to become a video game concept artist while remaining involved in music and theatre by participating in community theatre and philanthropy work.
To achieve this, I plan to attend Fullerton College to obtain my AA in Art while also participating in their theatre program. I will also use my skills in my volunteer work with Crittenton as I continue to volunteer in their group homes working with the young moms and babies in their program.
After completing my AA I will transfer to Cal Arts or Cal State Fullerton to study Game Art, Animation and Immersive Media.

Reflections on My Journey at Rosary Academy
Mission
Over my four years at Rosary, I have been blessed to be a part of a supportive, challenging, and empowering environment that has prepared me to take on the next phase of life after graduation. Rosary showed me that my talents could turn into strengths, that challenges can be overcome, and that I am valued as a whole individual. I found my time here to be academically challenging, but still was able to find success in that I learned so much from my dedicated teachers who always valued my contributions to class and helped me along the way. Being a performing and visual arts student has shown me that I have a way to process my world though my art, whether I am on stage or creating a piece of artwork. Lastly, that I can use my talents to reach out to others in my community through service to others.
Faith
A Rosary graduate is a person of faith: I have experienced a lot of personal growth in this area. Growing up in a mixed-faith household I had never really understood where many of our Catholic beliefs and practices come from and their meaning. Now, I have a tremendous appreciation for the elements of Catholic faith that my family practices, as well as a respect and understanding of other faiths and their rich traditions and practices. This has helped me relate to others I interact with outside of school and in my community and given me a stronger sense of who I am and how loved I am as a child of God. Community service has always been something that I believe in strongly. Service to thy neighbor is a value my entire family practices. I am completing my sixth year as a member of National Charity League and have been serving philanthropies in my community since my sister joined when I was seven. I love the emphasis Rosary has on service to others and know I will continue to serve after graduation. I plan to continue volunteering at Sunnycrest Senior Living, delivering Meals on Wheels, as well as volunteering at the group home Crittenton runs for young mothers and babies.
Critical Thinker
A Rosary graduate is a critical thinker: Performing arts is a time-intensive commitment. The theatre experience I had taught me to establish priorities, set goals, and effectively work with others to achieve a common goal. I have learned to be self-sufficient and self-responsible. A recent example would be that I attended the Thespian State Festival. For four days I had to rely on myself to navigate the weekend. This is not something I would have felt sure about being able to do before. But I can confidently say that the skills I needed are ones that Rosary have taught me. I knew I could be successful. In my academic classes I appreciated that every student’s voice was valued and that even someone like me who struggles with social anxiety had the opportunity to be heard and valued.
Effective Communicator
A Rosary graduate is an effective communicator: Performing and Visual Arts are all about viewing the world in a different way. Through performing I expressed myself though the characters and music I played. Through my art I shared how I view the world. It is my hope that others are inspired to see the world a bit differently and embrace the beauty and creativity of artistic expression. During conservatory classes I learned how to work with others to create performance pieces. For each show I learned how to work as a team, lead by example, and communicate effectively with both cast and crew during rehearsals and shows. Being a part of Red and Gold every year has also helped me with being an effective communicator through working with my peers are not in the Theatre program, giving me a chance to meet my other Rosary sisters who I likely wouldn’t have met otherwise. This year I was Historian Captain and loved the chance to take on a leadership role as well as participate in choir. That this show is entirely girl created, produced, and performed is an incredible thing to be a part of and is something I will miss immensely.
